Data-to-Action Strategy Workshops

Closing the distance between a findings report and a decision

Format

Half-day, full-day, or multi-session series

Built For

Organizations — including nonprofits, government agencies, higher education institutions, and

corporations — moving from data collection to strategy, advocacy, and systems change

CHALLENGE

Meaningful quantitative and qualitative findings sit in a report while the decisions they should inform get made somewhere else — often by people far from the challenge, and on grounds other than the evidence.

What We Do

  • Interpret quantitative and qualitative findings together

  • Connect data to community experience

  • Identify themes and strategic priorities

  • Develop actionable recommendations

  • Build advocacy and implementation strategy

  • Communicate findings to stakeholders and decision-makers

What Participants Leave With

  • Clear understanding of what their data means and why it matters to people

  • Tools for translating findings into action

  • Strategic priorities grounded in evidence

  • Practical advocacy and communication skills

  • Meeting-ready talking points for visits with policymakers and funders

05

Translate findings into actionable narrative

06

Develop implementation and advocacy strategy

In Practice - California Stop the Hate Initiative

Facilitated a training series that moved nonprofit leaders from data collection to advocacy action, combining quantitative data with lived experience to understand the impact of hate incidents and communicate it to decision-makers.

Working from a structured framework for collecting, interpreting, and sharing data, participants built narratives that translated statistics into something a legislator could act on — equipping them for capitol visits, community education, and policy

advocacy.
